Johny “The Squealer” Lopes co-founded the dream with Franjo at Guincho Beach in ’94, trading surfboards for mics when he realized his voice could command even bigger waves. Francisco “Franjo” Camacho spent years backpacking through Angola’s vibes before returning to his coastal hometown to pick up the bass and reconnect with other Squeal 94 band mates. Now 44, his worldly grooves and laid-back wisdom form Squeal 94’s rock-solid foundation. Franjo’s basslines are the quiet anchor in every storm—unassuming yet unbreakable.

#3 Echo: Keys & Percussion

André “Echo” Inácio cut his teeth in Lisbon’s hip-hop studios before meeting other Squeal 94 band mate on a demo session. At 41, he’s the glitch wizard who blends organic instrumentation with electronic magic—turning street-corner beats into Squeal 94’s signature pulse. Eco’s ear for detail and knack for sonic alchemy shape every track’s foundation, making him the quiet power behind the band’s dynamo.
